My Five Minute Make-up Routine

While I do like playing with make-up sometimes, I like to keep my day-to-day regular make-up pretty simple. Just enough to look refreshed and well-rested. If I wake up earlier and have more time, I’ll add on to this basic routine, but most days if you see me this is what I wear.

Maya Chia Highlight of the Day Illuminating Face Serum | This product makes a good base to layer over my foundation especially during the winter months when you need to fake a glow rather than get it from natural sunlight.

Alima Pure Liquid Silk Foundation (Shade Heat) | This is my foundation stand-by, this company doesn’t have a super broad color range, but I happen to be able to find my shade among the options they have available.

RMS Un Cover Up Concealer (Shade 55) | This is my favorite concealer of 2018 and I don’t see the need to change it up so far in 2019. On weekends or days when I’m working from home, I only apply this to any spots I have and under my eyes. It offers a good coverage without being cakey.

Iilia Beauty Multi-stick (Cheek to Cheek) | This is a nice travel friendly blush that' was also a favorite make-up product from 2018. It just gives you a nice healthy flush that makes you look more “awake.”

RMS Beauty Living Illuminizer Highlighter | If I just want a subtle glow, this is a great product that I can just apply with my fingers. I’ll run this on the bridge of my nose and on my cheekbones for a quick, uncomplicated highlight.

W3LL People Expressionist Mascara | I do like this mascara but can honestly only use it during the cold weather months. I need waterproof mascara if I’m going to bother with mascara in the swampy DC weather during the summers.

Ilia Essential Natural Volumnizing Brow Gel | I’m honestly trying to use up some eye shadow to tame my brows, but when I finish it up, I’ll purchase this brow product. I’m looking for an alternative to Glossier, Boybrow and this seems like it’s a contender.
